Laser safety: Laser protection class 4 applies to our Wobble manual laser welding equipment when in operation.
Different measures are therefore required on the customer side to ensure laser safety, such as the appropriate training of employees, wearing special protective equipment and setting up a separate laser safety area.
Danger of Welding emissions
Depending on the materials being welded, laser welding may generate fumes, altough much less than any other welding process, that are hazardous to health.
Therefore, it is important to always provide sufficient extraction and fresh air.
SAFETY NEEDS
All laser welding and cutting installations are required to have a laser safety officer (LSO). The LSO is responsible for personnel protection, laser cell class conformance, and enforcement of all laser safety regulations. Be certain to follow recommendations from the laser system manufacturer. In addition, provide certified laser protective eyewear, clothing, and shields where required.
